SBA SUPPORT: EMPOWERING WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS
The Small Business Administration (SBA) is crucial in supporting women entrepreneurs through Women's Business Centers (WBCs). As of 2024, there are 152 WBCs offering services across all states and Puerto Rico, providing business development mentorship and financing opportunities to 150,000 women entrepreneurs every year. Recently, the SBA announced $30 million in grant funding for new WBCs, aiming to expand services and reach more women entrepreneurs.
IWE supports raising awareness about these resources, which is essential to ensuring continued support and funding for WBCs. This is vital for leveling the playing field for women in business. We invite you to spread the word about WBCs to women entrepreneurs and elected officials in your communities.
